We hope you are having a blast playing Heroes of Soulcraft! Today we have good news for you! We have added exciting new features like Hero Skins and an initial ranking and matchmaking System, alongside many bugfixes and balancing changes.

New Feature: Skill Ranking

  • We added a Ranking System that lets you earn Skill Medals.
  • The Medals show which top % of all players you belong to, starting at 50%.
  • The game now matches you depending on your ranking.
  • Your rank icon shows up in-game next to your name!

New Feature: Hero Skins

  • All Heroes now have a brand new Skin!
  • Skins are available for purchase through the Hero Customization Menu.
  • You can look at 3D previews of the Skins in-game and here on the Website.

New Feature: Game Gold

  • You now receive Gold during a running game to use it in battle!
  • Ingame Gold features include:
  • Reviving your Hero
  • Buying items faster
  • Activating your Titan
  • If your ingame Gold is gone, you can pay the price with your account Gold.
  • Important: Spending Gold ingame doesn't grant an unfair advantage! All other players will receive the same Gold to balance it out!

  • Purchase Gold Packs from the Shop! On Sale for 30% less now!
  • Use your Gold to unlock Heroes directly or spend it ingame!

New Feature: Community XP Boost

  • After a fun game you can now grant all players an XP Boost for a little Gold
  • Everybody can pitch in and increase the boost to up to 100% bonus!

New Feature: Bonus Gold Vault

  • After every 3 Wins, you now receive an amount of Bonus Gold.
  • On a Victory or Defeat you store Gold in your Vault (less if you lose).
  • Once you receive your third win, you receive the full accumulated Gold.

New Hero: Niomi - The Bone Priestess

Niomi: Corrupting the minds of her foes with dark Voodoo curses and her horrifying Boneblade, this mysterious young witch heads out to hunt for souls.

Corrupting Blade

  • Attacks a single target, restoring Energy with each hit. Passively corrupts a nearby enemy, dealing damage and marking it.

Bonestorm

  • A cloud of bones reduces your damage taken. After a few seconds the Bones explode, dealing damage to nearby enemies.

Soul Seek

  • Dashes to the currently corrupted enemy, briefly ignoring damage and crowd control. Cannot dash to targets in melee range.

Soul Harvest

  • Pulls all enemies in front of you closer and slows them briefly. Hold the skill to channel it multiple times.

  • Calls down a mystical sword in front of you that stuns and damages all enemies hit.

Team Balance Scaler

  • The team that has too few players (if somebody leaves, etc) now gets a buff
  • Context: We have heard your feedback on uneven player numbers in the game. To compensate for missing players, you now get a stacking Damage and Health buff.

Sudden Death Removed

  • We have removed the Sudden Death if the game goes too long
  • Context: Sudden Death would prevent you from respawning if a game goes too long. It would also cause some trouble if you spawned into a game that had Sudden Death active. We disabled this to see if games are more fun and more open this way.
  • Respawn timers are now longer. (Math: 3 * Level for 4vs4 and 2 * Level for 2vs2)

Tower Energy Regeneration

  • Towers now regenerate Energy (the Mana they need for shooting)
  • Context: Increased the late game importance of Towers. If you push them, they lose energy and can be destroyed easily. If you leave them for a while, they will be able to shoot again though!

2vs2 Map Changes

  • Increased Starting Souls and reduced XP required to reach max level.
  • Increased the XP and Souls gained from Lane and Jungle Creeps.
  • Context: In our fast-paced 2vs2 gamemode you should now reach endgame even faster, before the game ends.

4vs4 Map Changes

  • 4vs4 Map Layout slightly changed
  • Context: We have adjusted some of the hotspots on the map where frequent fights happen. Also we have added more Jungle camps.
  • Removed Healing pickups in the jungle.

Grimnor: The mischievous master of axes receives a clarity update to his dig skill. The skill is a very powerful tool to avoid otherwise certain death and we wanted to make the skill more consistent.

Skill: Dig In

  • You are now submerged for a fixed duration, instead of having to hold the button.
  • Leveling up the ability allows you to move with normal speed while active.
  • While you are underground, you still ignore damage and crowd control and regenerate health.

Mirage: The Illusion Mage receives a buff to her autoattack. You will be able to combo your abilities better and have a easier time at duelling your opponents.

Skill: Lightball

  • You can now have 2 empowered attacks ready. (You still gain one empowered autoattack after using another ability.)
  • Reduced the attack cooldown to 1.2/1.1/1.0 seconds from 1.4/1.3/1.2 seconds.

Dalia: The Flower Princess receives a buff to her Healing ability.

Skill: Growth

  • Increased Heal amount to yourself and allies near you to 80/100/140 from 50/75/100.

Keely: Our gun-crazed Rebel spent a little time in the workshop to upgrade her multi-function rifle, making it possible to keep moving while aiming her Mortar.

Skill: Mortar

  • You can now freely move while aiming your mortar. Just keep the button pressed and let go when you want to fire.

Jin Long: Slightly repositioning the reptilian monk as a supportive fighter with more self-healing, rather than a crowd control bot.

Skill: Dragonpunch

  • Slow amount changed to 15/25/35% from 35% at all ranks.

Skill: Sanctuary

  • When casting the Heal zone, now also heals the Dragon Monk instantly for 50/100/150.
  • It then continues to heal all allies standing inside the zone for 30/50/70 Health per second.

Skill: Seeing Dagger

  • Can no longer reactivate the Skill to jump to target. This portion moved to the Execute skill (see below).

Skill: Execute / Jump

  • New mechanic: If you have marked a target with your dagger, you jump behind your target in addition to dealing high damage to it.
  • The skill can still be used in melee range without a marked target to deal damage at the cost of energy.

Targas: The tanky frontline Hero now has a ranged engage tool in Attack Mode and his autoattacks in Shield Mode have been buffed.

Skill: Uppercut (Attack Mode)

  • Replaced by Shockwave skill (formerly only in Shield Mode).
  • Skill sends out a wave of electricity that stuns targets hit as it moves forward.

Skill: Shield Bash (Shield Mode)

  • Now deals 100% + 10/20/30 flat damage to all enemies hit.
  • Increased knockback and briefly stuns enemies hit.

Titan Cooldowns: All Titan cooldowns have been reduced by around 30%.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed multiple touch bugs that would freeze input.
  • Recall skill should now properly teleport you back to base.
  • Many minor bug fixes.
